Easy Recipe for Dark Chocolate Lava Cake

This Valentine’s Day impress your sweetheart with this dark chocolate lava cake

Here it is! The perfect indulgent and oh-so luscious Valentine’s Day dessert for the chocolate lovers out there.

After all, nothing says love like chocolate. Especially when it comes in the form of a mouthwatering, cute little cake with a softy-melty center.

What I love the most about this little chocolate cakes, not only are decadent and elegant. But also, quite easy and quick to whip up. This recipe won’t take you more than 30 minutes from start to finish!

Can you picture, that irresistible warm first bite, when the soft chocolate that oozes out from the middle hits your tastebuds and melts in your mouth?!?

Dangerous, I’m telling you!

Here are a few recommendation when making this cake:

First of all, you will need good quality chocolate for the recipe. I recommend a 70% or more cocoa. I would stay away if possible from baking chocolate or chocolate chips. But go for a better quality , good brand.

You can use any oven safe bowl. Mine are 8oz each, and the recipe makes only 2. But you can also use smaller size, and divide the batter into what you have. Just make sure to reduce the baking time for smaller size cake.

You can decorate the molten cake with whipped cream, ice-cream. Or simple powdered sugar and berries on the side!

Make sure to bake these right before serving. You can always store the ramekins with the chocolate inside in the refrigerator (for up to 24 hours) until you’re ready to bake. Add one minute in this case!
